Meniere’s Australia (MA) is a national Not for Profit Charity organisation located at the Meniere’s Information and Resource Centre in Frankston. The organisation has grown rapidly and now has over1500 financial members throughout Australia.
MA also makes an important contribution to the health sector focusing on education in conjunction with a range of research projects and community programs.

The vision of Meniere’s Australia is that all Australians with Meniere’s disease and other vestibular disorders will receive and have equal access to support services, information and personal support irrespective of geographic location.

Role:
|
The Administration Assistant has the following responsibilities:
- Provide general administrative assistance within the MRC.
- Act as Secretariat to the Committee: maintain policies and procedures documentation.
- Assist in project administration and project delivery.
- Assist in Policy Development & Documentation.

Duties:
|
The Administration Assistant will:
- Ensure ‘MA Corporate Records’ including Committee Papers (agenda, minutes, papers, reports), Financial Reports & Papers, Annual Returns, Funding Agreements are maintained and that the legal requirements of incorporation, constitution and funding agreements are met.
- Ensure correspondence and other records are filed appropriately.
- As directed assist in developing and implementing MA Policy and Procedures.
- Record, prepare and distribute agenda, minutes and reports to committee members & attend committee meetings to record proceedings
- Compile minutes of committee meetings on next working day for perusal by Chair.
- Work cooperatively and effectively with volunteers & members.
- Ad hoc administration duties as required.
- Assist in Policy & Document Development (optional duty depending on qualifications & experience).

Qualifications:
|
- Relevant Office Administration and Community Development skills highly regarded
- Knowledge, understanding & demonstrated experience in providing Office Administration and Project Development.
- Demonstrated ability in computer literacy and knowledge, experience and demonstrated skills with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Products.
- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
- Knowledge & understanding of structure of community based organisations and the principles of developing self help groups an advantage.

Salary:
|
- Based on an hourly rate of $18.00 to $25.00 and reviewed annually.
- Flexible Salary Packaging of the above amount is available.
- Superannuation of 9% on monthly earnings will be paid to the fund of choice.
- Hourly remuneration includes Annual Leave, Sick leave, Long Service Leave and Public Holidays.

Performance:
|
- The ongoing position is subject to satisfactory completion of a 6 month trial period. Annual Performance reviews are then undertaken as determined by the MA Committee.
- The successful applicant will be required to sign and follow the MA Confidentiality Policy and other relevant policy and procedures.

Committee meetings may be held off site from Resource Centre outside normal working hours.)
|
This position is offered on the basis of Permanent Part Time Employment and is subject to MA continuing to raise sufficient funding to finance the position beyond the initial 12 months. Police checks are required.
